Hello,My 4.5 year old potty trained very late at 3.5 and she has never been accident free. There was a period where she was waking up dry so I bought some overnight terry cloth underwear which she completely soaked through the first night she had them on. She frequently pees her pants but just a little at a time. For the past week she has been pooping her pants every day, sometimes twice. Sometimes it's full on poop but usually it's just little squirts. After I catch her, I will put her on the toilet and sometimes she'll poop all of the way and sometimes she won't. She did it overnight and now has a rash.I am at a loss. She is in pre k and has been doing this at school too. When I ask her why she pooped her pants she says "because I did" so I've tried rephrasing "why didn't you poop in the potty?" And she says "because I pooped in my pants". She seems ashamed bc she tries to clean it up herself at home and hides at school when she does it. I don't know if she's constipated because she is pooping in the toilet.I've taken away her iPad this morning because she has given herself a rash. Punishments don't work. Speaking calmly and trying to talk to her about it doesn't work. I've thrown away so many pair of underwear. I even bought her some really cool new character underwear and said that they don't want to be pooped on and she says "okay I will pee and poop in the potty!"Please advise. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2vvh1XH
