Toddler's vivid imagination is causing me to imagine an extended vacation.

In the last two weeks this has basically popped up out of nowhere and progressively gotten worse. It started with her waking up the other night screaming and inconsolable that she had bugs crawling all over her. Then it was a dinosaur in the closet, and this morning she's in the bathroom yelling at the monster in the shower (only in the last few minutes has she been courageous enough to face this monster. Prior to this she was cowering around the corner). She has also decided that all trees are giant spiders coming to get her. It's obviously good that she's using her imagination. I understand that it's an important thing for kids her age, developmentally speaking. But it's never, you know, a fluffy unicorn or a human imaginary friend. She's basically in a constant state of terror from all these creatures and demons, always shrieking and crying and begging me to save her. Is there a line between normal imagination play and something I should be concerned about? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2kayf7c
