I have a 19 month old boy and I want to be a good parent. Growing up my parents instilled much fear into me. I believe that this caused me to become very anxious. However, I've learned to overcome my anxiety and fear isn't the strategy I want to rely on to make sure my son behaves. Now I want to say that my son isn't what I'd consider a bad kid. He listens to me and my girlfriend. He helps clean up after himself and has a great attitude(unless he's missed nap time). Now regarding mental stimulation I have no idea what to do. We read him books, play with toys that include fitting pieces into its appropriate place, and watch baby shows. I feel like there's probably more we could do but I'm afraid we're not doing enough. If there are any tips or feedback about being a parent that any experienced parents have they would greatly appreciated. Thank you. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/28TLQxx
