Has anyone created a very book-loving environment – tons of books around to read, reading aloud to their kids at night – and had a child who still turned out NOT to like reading?

I'm a book nerd, but also kind of a jock. Baby daddy is also a jock and while he reads a lot online and is very well educated, well spoken etc., he does not read books for fun. Of course I'll love and accept my kid whoever he turns out to be, but I have to admit I'd be a little disappointed if he turned out not to be a reader.
