Bedtime appropriate pajamas (girl)

Moms with GIRLS (bless our hearts)My daughter is 7 and asks to sleep in just undies. Or T-shirt and undies. I don’t see an issue. She has seen me in T-shirt and undies for bed. My husband doesn’t agree. Says it’s weird. Says little girls need to cover up. I mean I get it when people are here or coming out with no shirt. But bedtime in jammies? Is it weird? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2GNt6PH

Final update on my daughter in NJ

previous postThis is the final update I have for Hannah. The damage to her brain got worse. She had a neurological exam today and the neurologist let us know that he saw things in the exam that show her brain is swelling and her brain stem is injured. She is having trouble maintaining her vital functions. They don’t think she will make it a week. This is so unbelievable. Less than a week ago I had a beautiful little daughter and now it’s been ripped away from me. My wife and I weren’t greedy. We just wanted one child. Not 2 or 3 or 5, just one. I know that life isn’t fair but i can not understand why she was picked to leave early. I have cried so much today that I feel like a towel that has been wrung out. I feel so bad and so sorry watching my wife go through this. I wonder when either of us will be able to smile again. We discussed organ donation with the team at the hospital today and it was such a kick in my gut to be talking about donating her organs and finally seal it in my head that she will pass on. Finally sealed it in my head that the light of my life is gone. Hopefully we are able to donate them and save some lives and Hannah’s spirit can live on.Thank all of you beautiful internet strangers who took your time out to send your love and advice to myself and my family. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2DA6aS2

Husband washed our baby with a sock

Yes, you read that right. I put her laundry in her room in the laundry basket. I also work 3 12s and usually do the baby's laundry. Well hubby was home with her and she ran out of wash cloths. He told me later that he used a sock instead. Now I know why there's one loose sock on the dresser. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2Li5I0W

To circumcise or not to circumcise that is the question.

So I live in the USA, and until very recently circumcision has been a really common practice. I personally do not feel very passionate about the subject either way. My husband doesnt really care either, and since he is circumcised so we went ahead and put down the deposit on the circumcision. (we can get it back if we want to.) The baby is due in a few weeks a now my brother and the rest of my family are trying to convince me not to go through with the circumcision. Im aware that there is no evidence pointing either way to one being healthier then the other, but a now after talking to my family I'm not sure what to do. I found a parent hack

Small fry is 11, hormonal, argumentative and tbh a fucking nightmare! But tonight I found something to calm her and bond us... and that is Takishis castle! She’s loves everything Asian so I got a flashback of watching it as a teen and decided to try it. We’re an hour in and the smiles, laughter and cheering the contestants on is giving me a new lease of life. Can honesty say it’s our happiest night in about 6months. I feel so happy I just HAD to tell someone! via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2VzKdN2

Pretty sure my five year old is gay

How do I make sure he never stays in the closet? How the hell do I do this. My boy is such a good kid. I’m so proud of him. I guess the only worry I have is him getting bullied in the future. Then again, maybe I don’t have to worry that much cuz we’re from LA and growing up me and my friends never saw anyone bully a gay person. We just never hung out with them.Maybe I’m just over analyzing this. Is there anything that I should know now or do I just figure this out on the way. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2Wcl9sC

Ex spouse showed up randomly for visitation

My ex has mostly been non- communicative with us since January. We have 7 year old twins and he has not tried to see them at all. A few days ago, he messaged to ask to spend today with them. I told him we'd play it by ear since he hadn't given me much notice. This morning, I'm cleaning and organizing when there is a knock at the door. Of course, it's my ex. He says he'd like to take them for a bit before he works tonight, tells the kids that he's going to go get lunch and be back in an hour to hang out with them, take them to the park, etc. Its been 3 hours, I got them cleaned up and put together and he's not been back to get them.I'm so angry. First he does not contact us for four months and comes back out of the blue wanting to play worlds best dad. Then he makes the kids a promise and disappears. I have a sneaking suspicion he only tried to come around because his family is visiting, so he wanted to put on a show for them. I hate this. I don't know what to tell the kids if he doesn't show up again. I know they are getting to the age where they will see who he is for themselves soon, but it makes me mad that he thinks he can be in and out of their lives whenever.Update: he finally showed. With his family in tow. This is all for them so he can look like a dad for a day. His mom got judgy that they aren't in shorts because I haven't had money to buy any yet (getting some next week). Also they are too small apparently. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2GFxKy8
