Is it appropriate to bring a 1 month old to a funeral?

Hello,My wife and I just became parents for the first time last month!Sadly, my wife's aunt just passed away. Her funeral will be held in 2 weeks. Our son will be 5 weeks old then.My wife is a SAHM so we do not have a babysitter. Sometimes, her mother helps her out while I'm at work but she will be at the funeral too.My wife is worried than bringing our kid to the funeral would ''steal the show'' so to speak considering most of her familly hasn't met him yet.She said she would be okay if I stayed at home with the baby while she goes to the funeral with her mother but that just feels wrong to me. She does want me at her side but we have to think about our son, too.My wife is conflicted about what she'd like me to do so it's why I'm posting this thread.
