My 4 year old has slowly but surely gotten to the point where she demands my attention every waking moment. If I sit down she demands I stand up, even if she doesn't exactly have a plan in mind. She wants me next to her all the time, whether shes playing with me or not.I'm a stay at home dad and my husband is in another country with the military. I dont have too much time for me lately and it started kind of driving me mad. While I love playing with my daughter, I also am an introvert and crave alone time. So I lose sleep because I choose to stay awake after putting her in bed.My husband gave me the idea to make her sick of me. So the last few days that's what I've been doing. I demand her attention as long as I can keep it. I make her engage and play and run and pretend until she gets to the point where she wants to take a break. Then I get a break, too.I have gotten more work done on my art things than ever before the last few days and I've also had more meaningful play time with my daughter because it's less of her dragging me around and more of me making up exciting things for us to do together.Very rewarding! via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2ZFaJmG
