FTM here with a 6 month old. Everyone warned me about the judgement and unsolicited advice. But oh my god it is next level. I can’t even walk down the street without someone commenting on my parenting. I have friends with children that think they know everything and critique my parenting (even though we have completely different styles, think attachment parenting vs. strict routine). Pre children it never occurred to me to offer anyone with a baby or children advice because what the hell do I know? Post baby I’ll offer my opinion when asked and preface it with ‘this is what works for my child but I’m aware that all kids are little individuals and what works for mine wont necessarily work for yours’. Why can’t everyone else be like that?? Also family are the WORST for this. The worst. Sorry for the rant, my kid is teething and we’re not getting much sleep. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2BLqSy4
