Ridiculously happy about having a "normal" morning, getting to be a "normal" parent

Waking the kids up. Fixing breakfast. Sending two of them off to the store with a grocery list. Folding some laundry. Giving hugs. Making plans for an afternoon outing....After 13 weeks of Retail Christmas Intensity (complete with tons of overtime, weird shifts, etc), combined with their sports seasons, theater practices, competitions and college visits... it is so good to have a simple morning of everyone home doing regular mom / kid stuff. Plenty of days in there I didn't get to see one or more of them awake and for conversations to be limited to who had the car keys and how much money was needed for whatever.I so adore the time between Christmas and New Years!Making the money is helping hugely with the expenses of having teen/college kids - but dang I miss being a SAHM - glad I can revisit it during this time of year. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2ESr1BC
