We had our first real date night since our daughter was born 2 years ago and it was glorious!

The first time we went out without LO was for a rehearsal dinner when she was 7 months old, and it went horribly. My mother in law ignored all the requests I made and my poor baby basically screamed the entire time we were gone. This time, while we were visiting family for the holidays, we left her with my step MIL and my FIL, and it went soo much better. Of course it helps that my daughter is sleep trained and very easy to put to bed, but I was still very apprehensive based on our first experience.Honestly, I had forgotten how nice it is to have a meal without an impatient toddler who is ready to run around after two bites of food. We got soup, our meal, desert, and just sat there for almost two hours. We chatted with the server, we ordered drinks. It was just so relaxing.
