My wife thinks my son (her step-son) needs to quit "freeloading" and start paying us for his cell phone plan. He already pays monthly for his phone - no sane parent would buy their kid a $1,100 phone if the one they have is sufficient. He's been on my family plan since he got his phone for his 13th birthday, and it's only $20/month for his line. But… we want to switch carriers and the plans now are priced differently making it SEEM like we'd be paying more for his service since it's now listed separately. She's adamant that he pay for his own separate plan – we're not hurting for money, so that's not the issue – I guess it's to teach him responsibility, even though he's studying aviation and working really hard on his schoolwork and flight time. He doesn't really have time for a job with the extra hours he has to spend flying - easily 12-15 hours per week. So, do other parents pay for their college kid's cell phone plan? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2zB6QEQ
