So a little backstory. Our 10yo daughter is a nice, sweet little girl who is incredibly close to her mum, at night she will always creep out of her room and into bed with mum to cuddle (I sleep in another room because I snore so badly) and every day when she finishes school she'll come come and curl up on mum's lap and they watch tv together. they have fun and love each other to bits, always doing activities together and good friends. So yesterday we get a call from the CPS, to come in for an emergency meeting. We get there and are instantly split up for separate interviews. We are told that out daughter had told the school nurse that mum hits her- which is completely untrue. She also says she us afraid of her and that she doesn't want to come home if mum is in a bad mood. When confronted with this, she days told us that the school nurse must have misheard and that mum doesn't hit her. She says that one time. Mum threw a book at her and that it brushed her arm, but that she thought it was by accident. its like she is trying to retract everything. Now we have to have a CPS guard visiting randomly. My wife is devastated and doesn't want to be close with our daughter at the moment, she feels as though she's given everything to her and has now been stabbed in the back. Our daughter seems regretful, but CPS says it's normal for a child to change their story in front of their parents. So basically my wife can't defend herself because they will always believe the child.Another thing. Our little girl has been struggling a bit with social interaction at school, and we feel like ska is being pulled backward and forward between friends (typical girl bitchiness ). She has problems with this and gets sad about it. She had gone to school one day and told one of the 'means girls that mum had thrown a book at her. The other girl had practically forced her to to to the school nurse and talk to the CPS. we also have a boy who is 16 that had adhd as is dependant on us, hes quite sensitive and this has taken its toll on him too. My wife is so destroyed I feel she may leave home. our life feels as it its destroyed. Any advice via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2Bmtw9G
