So, I thought the 2s were supposed to be all about tantrums, but my daughter has started early. Every desire that can't be fulfilled, from a fun activity that has to conclude to a fun toy that is actually something she could hurt herself with and needs to be quietly, politely removed... everything is a tragedy with wailing and lying on the floor in misery. Moreover, she hits and scratches us when she is frustrated, and sometimes tries to swat the 3-month-old too.I've tried distraction for the tears and demonstrating, "No scratches, gentle touch" for the other. Neither seems to be working all that well yet. Have we accidentally made her bratty somewhere along the way, or is this pretty typical? What does a kid need from parents at her age to help her develop into a happy, nonviolent person? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2E6NKYe
