A serious shout out: if your child has hand foot in mouth this year, be extra careful so YOU don’t get it.Honestly, I was invited to my cousin in laws house with a household that ALL got HFIM. Everyone, all 6 adults got it from the baby. A couple days after their fevers were gone they invited us over with our baby. I was unaware of this until halfway through the damn trip.Well obviously my babe got it! After a few days of his misery, I got it as well. Here’s the thing, it’s a volatile virus. You get severe fever and chills, followed by blisters all over your body that burn like hades inferno. These last for days, and when they’re gone you’ll be peeling dead skin from them for WEEKS afterwards. This disease is super contagious, just don’t mess with it. I’ve heard this is the year that parents are getting it more than they have in the past and it’s miserable.
