Just wanted to share. I grew up in a family where water wasn’t “bad” but it just another option I guess. We always had juice and soda in the fridge and of course my siblings and I preferred them over water. When my now two year old turned one-ish I introduced watered down apple juice to him. He would have it with his meals and water was like a snack, and milk was for morning or night only. I saw it as weird for a kid to have lunch with a glass of water. Then one day I was FaceTiming with my sister (who is a health nut now lol) and she was eating a sandwich and drinking water. Then I started seeing articles about how people were starting to drink more water and I realized that water is really important. Our bodies need it. I don’t like how bland it is but I make an effort to stuff water bottles in the fridge now because I prefer them cold. My second kid, who is 15 months, LOVES water and she brings me her cup or a water battle so I can give her some. My two year old likes juice but I only let him have a bit a day and hopefully soon he’ll start preferring water too. Thanks for letting me share. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2k1qxRd
