How did you keep your kid entertained during a time of limited mobility?

My 11 year old was in a pretty bad car accident this week and due to his injuries (broken humerus, compression fractures in spine, soft tissue damage in an ankle and general soreness all over) he can barely walk and can't really hold a book or video game controller.
