If you are buying an Android Tablet for your little ones this holiday season and want to have better control over their activities, set them up with their own Google account instead of using one of yours.

For any accounts created for ages 13 and below Google mandates the use of the Family Link app which will let you as a parent control pretty much anything they do on their devices from your own device (by installing the family Link app on your own device). You can restrict app downloads by requiring your approval, block selective apps including YouTube and chrome, set up access times ,lock the device as well as find the device location. You can setup multiple parent profiles for the same device as well.A lot of parents use their own accounts to setup the devices for their children - which then makes it harder to restrict downloads to inappropriate apps etc etc. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2mZdpgB
