I am in law school and working part-time, and my husband has an entry-level blue collar job (he just got legal status in the country a year ago). We just moved out of the "hood" and into a "good neighborhood"(TM). My daughter's old preschool is too expensive, and in the new neighborhood, all the decent preschools but one have long waitlists. My daughter has been accepted into a beautiful, awesome Montessori school, but it costs about $1,750/month. I have a full tuition scholarship to law school, so we have avoided debt so far, but to live in a one-bedroom apartment in suburbia will already obliterate our life savings, and putting her in this preschool would put us into debt. I can get her into a preschool that costs $1200, but it is really more of a home daycare, and they are super secretive, while the expensive one has cameras and I can see what my daughter is doing at all times. I am torn into little bits about this, trying to work and I can't put my mind into it because I am imagining how happy my daughter would be at this beautiful little preschool that I can't afford. And there are no options in the middle. And we don't qualify for government assistance. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2vw1M08
