I didn't realize this was still a thing, but I got my kid's new school handbook when I registered him for his new school, and it says that their primary method for discipline is spanking. They spank with a paddle for behaviors such as disrespect, defiance, and disorderly conduct "after classroom interventions." It doesn't say anything about opting out. This is a public school.I feel kind of weird. I have spanked my children before, rarely. I know a lot of you don't appreciate that. I'm not here for you to tell me not to. I do want to know what you think about this because I feel weird about it being another person doing the spanking. It's the only public school my child can go to. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2szUCL6
