I'm 100% against spanking, let me get that out of the way. I was spanked by my mom and my dad used a belt on me sometimes when I was a kid. It didn't teach me anything, only to be afraid of them. We have a great relationship but sheesh.. I don't understand why they did it but that was decades ago where it was "normal".I have a 15 month old daughter and we will not spank her. What other forms of "punishment" are effective but do not involve physically hitting her? She's a little young now but I would like this information in my head lol.
