Am I being unreasonable for not wanting my toddler (1.5 years) to be near the edge of the pool in the deep section. I'm talking about the 8-12 foot area. I have given into letting her be on the edge at 4 feet, but more than that terrifies me. This is without any floaties. With a puddle jumper I'm ok with it. My husband says I'm embarrassing and unreasonable for being this way. He is standing near her, usually with a hand on her, but is known for being easily distracted, and more often than not, talking to someone.
