My 8 year old son has recently become very interested in rocks - specifically to sharpen them with the idea of making "spears", etc. I have no concerns over this (he's well-balanced, respectful, etc) so I'm not worried that he's getting into "violent" stuff or anything, but I have absolutely NO idea how to encourage this or help him. He'll spend awhile each day just out in our driveway sharpening rocks w/other rocks (doesn't really work) or attempting to tie a rock to a stick to make a spear (never works). I have no interest in this kind of stuff but want to support his interest. Does anyone have any ideas on things I can do/buy to help with this? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2uzlrzA
