When did your child start talking?

My son was 2 months premature and was slightly later reaching other milestones (sitting around 9 months,v walking at 14/15 months..) and it seems now his speech is lagging as well. I've googled what's normal and most sites say about 100 words by age 2.. my son says about 15 but tries new ones often, they just don't always sound right.. but I can tell he's trying and so excited about learning. He passed his newborn hearing test and has his ears checked regularly at his check ups so I don't think it's a hearing problem.. other parents have tried to reassure me that some kids especially boys may take longer to talk.. any truth to that? He does have two cousins with autism, but he doesn't really show any of the other typical autism mannerisms. Thanks in advance <3tl;dr: 2 year old not saying many words, normal or no? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2gao3Z0
