Our son is a couple weeks away from being 9 months and since this is my first child, I require advice on a certain issue, sleep.Usually his routine was to begin to wind down at 4pm and in bed by 5-6pm and sometimes 7 but over the last month, things have changed rapidlyAt 7 months. He got an ear infection which bothered him a lot therefore he was sleeping in the bed with my wife and has done this since then. He doesn't like his own bed and seems like he must be attached to his mother or he can't stay asleep. He does the same thing in the daytime, if my wife gets off the sofa to walk to the other side of the room, he screams and cries hysterically until she comes back. Also the bedtime routine is similar now. Usually my wife has to lie with him for 2 hours until he goes to bed. He farts around for a couple hours and eventually gets too tired and finally falls asleep. But the problem with this, it's at around 1-2pmThat's when he sleeps now. It's only recent but he wants to go to bed at around 1-2pm and sleeps through until around 3-4amSo after my wife FINALLY gets him to bed, we spend the rest of the day together but he can't seem to settle for long periods of time. He cries about every hour for a bottle but when she goes to bed with him, he only fully wakes up once or twice. He's seriously dependant on his mother and I'm wondering if this all sounds normal?Should he be sleeping in the bed at his age or should he have his own space? We've tried moving him but he doesn't like it at all.I'm still a learning father and I need help with advice from more experienced parents who have advice or maybe have the same problem! Please help! Thanks guys via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/28SQhKd
