3 yr old with low hemoglobin.

I'm the parent of 3 year old twin boys. A little background with their eating habits is that twin A loves meat and eats mostly meat, twin B does not eat meat except for chicken, sometimes. Well they had their routine check up today and they were tested for their iron and blood sugar. Of course twin A came out perfect but twin B had a 10.2 hb level so the doctor prescribed him iron supplements. The PA Student did the tests after the doctor checked the boys so I never got an explanation of what to do. Do I give him the iron supplements and everything will be fine? Do I try to force him to eat more meat (I don't feel comfortable doing this)? I don't even know how long he's supposed to be on them. Also, the pharmacist didn't give us the prescription because he felt the dosage was too high, so I have to wait until he can contact the doctor.Does anybody have experience with anemic children? Is this just not a big deal as I'm making it out to be? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/292WIpS
