DISCLAIMER: I am not technically a parent but I am an older brother who is concerned with doing the best for him. If this is the wrong place to post this, please direct me to the most relevant subreddit. Thank you.Now that that is out of the way, I have a 7 year old brother who begs me to play video games with him all the time. Seriously, pretty much every waking hour. When he first sees me in the morning, after meals, before bedtime, right after he gets finished doing whatever he was doing by himself, whenever he sees me playing video games by myself... Constantly. Now don't get me wrong. I am usually more than willing to play with him but it seems like no matter what I do he's gonna end up upset at me. If I say yes to him, we'll play for a while and then when I say we're done he'll usually throw a tantrum because he wants to stop. Or he'll start raising his voice because he's upset at whatever is happening in the game. But if I say no, he'll just get even more upset and just ask again in a few minutes.Let me be clear, I don't want him to stop asking me to play with him. I just want him to learn that no means no and he's not entitled to play video games all the time. How can I work with my parents to make him understand this? Thank you! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2FRKxQD
