Broke my f-ing leg. Happy holidays!

Hi Reddit. Stay at home father of three here. My wife works third shift and sleeps in the daytime, so usually I’m really alone with the kids for weeks at a time.Earlier this week I went out to the store for some Gatorade, tripped over literally nothing on the sidewalk, fell and broke my damn leg. Oops. Now I’m stuck in a chair with a baby, a 2yo and a 4yo. Do you good and kind folks have any ideas for ways I can still engage my kids while I’m held up? I’m open to anything.Grandma is here while Mom is working/sleeping. We’ll have help from in-laws off and on as well, but I’d like this to be better than 24/7 kids TV while dad feels sorry for himself. The 4yo can bring books to and from the book shelf. She also recently learned (against my will) how to play Minecraft, and I’ve been grudgingly allowing that skill to flourish. I don’t think of video games as being as bad for kids as TV, but I think 4 is too young. 2yo is content playing with cars and trucks on the floor until he’s not. He’s one of those 80% happy 20% furious types. And the baby is, luckily, a very mild tempered baby.I feel like we’ve got this, I’d just be grateful for insight about how I can do more from this stupid recliner. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2AeKXM1
