I have fours kids in a 3 bedroom house. My two boys (15 and 13) share and my two girls (both 9) share. The boys get along well but are starting to have issues with sharing. The main thing is actually sleeping. The 15 year old prefers some background noise and my 13 year old prefers complete silence. We tried having the oldest listen to music with ear buds on his phone but he complained about it being uncomfortable and after finding inappropriate content on his phone I am no longer comfortable with that. He is fine with a fan or white noise but our younger one can't stand it. He also finds ear buds uncomfortable to sleep in.Problem 2 is privacy. We tried putting up a curtain but both said it was pretty useless. Both have a lot of friends and like to hang out at our place. They often hang out together for a bit but the older boys eventually want some privacy and can't get that here. We have told them to hang out at their friends houses instead but it is nice having the boys here at this age and their friends generally like being here until they want privacy. They also said that the curtain doesn't help when they are trying to FaceTime friends. What can we do to make this better for both kids? The room is pretty small and splitting it isn't possible. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2FWBWYZ
