Our son is five and he and his sisters have made friends with some neighbors next door. My son's friend is seven (boy), and they rotate whose house they play at. Yesterday it was his friend's house, and normally they play XBOX or some board games when over there. Last night he tells us (after some coercion due to him acting sheepish) that his friend told him to take off his clothes, and he would touch my son in various private places (his friend also took off his clothes). They were in his friend's room with the door closed when this happened, apparently. My wife and I were in absolute shock and I don't know how to bring this up with his parents. His friend came over to play at our house today because we told me son they now have to play over here due to this incident, and my son told his friend the reasoning while my wife and I were in the room. My wife then told my son's friend that doing those kinds of things are not good, and that we have to keep our clothes on since the subject was already out there. Our next step is to talk with the parents. We tried to do that today, but didn't get a chance. We've only known this family for a couple months, but ever since getting to know them our kids are constantly playing since there are almost no other kids in the neighborhood.Any advice on how to approach this subject with the parents? For a bit of a background, both of their kids go to an all-day summer camp during summer, every day because both parents work. My wife is speculating that maybe some older kids at that camp have done something similar to our son's friend, but at this point it's all hypothetical. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2txHX7V
