How to toddler-proof roller blinds

We have a cordless roller blind in our 2.5 year old's room, the kind that you just pull down to the right length, and pull and release to send it back up to the top. They are blackout blinds, and we use them under blackout curtains to make his room dark in the summer. The problem is he's tall enough to reach it now, and knows if he yanks on it, it will fly up and make a loud noise and oh how awesome this is. He normally does it when alone in his room at bedtime.Does anyone know if there is a way to latch these in some way at the lowest height? I'm thinking something I can hook the bar under so he can't just yank it? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2eCVNDg
