My 6mo will need to be 100% transitioned away from bottles for his palate repair surgery in November. We spent weeks practicing and meeting with feeding specialists and doctors before the lip repair surgery in April but he refused to take any liquids from an open cup and went nearly a week without eating more than an oz or two a day. He was kept in hospital on iv and syringe/dropper before going back to his bottle and being released. It's taken months for him to get his weight back up. He's currently doing well with introducing pureed foods, but the vast majority of his calories still comes from formula in a bottle.I'm dreading the same struggle for his palate repair.I'd like recommendations for closed sippy cups that require no suction.Any BTDT parents or suggestions? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2td6D5z
