My husband and I have planned 5 nights away for a trip. We decided it would be better spent without our kids. They are 3.5 and 16m. We have gone away for a night before and it was fine. Even my 3yo told me he didn't want us to come back because it was so fun with grandma.They will be staying with both sets of grandparents who live near by. They see each of them at least once a week so they are regular caregivers.Now im nervous because my sil thinks we are crazy for going. She said she could never leave her kids that long. When they went away for three nights it was terrible and her 8yo was so upset. She said she is afraid to leave her 8yo again overnight because she was so upset from the last trip.So I'm really hoping this goes better than she makes it out to be.
