It is a useful skill to finish work. Put in a box. Separate work life from home life. Is it good for adults to bring work home? No. So why should we be teaching put kids that work just goes on and on?Our children are being manipulated for league tables. They are being pressured to perform academically to get better grades so that schools secure more funding. But this is short term. The effect of pressuring children to learn makes them hate learning. Our schools should be engendering in our children a lifelong passion of learning. And the policy of homework enforcement is unacceptable. Since when is it okay to humiliate people in front of their peers? And how is teaching through fear going to lead to an improved desire to learn?I think if our children finished their work at school and came home, did sports and clubs, relaxed with the family, cooked, talked about life and the universe, it will create better rounded individuals with better social skills; children refreshed and ready to learn more the following day.And say they get C.s and not A.s? You think this is a bad thing? A.s are more important for the schools than our children.Let's protect our children from homework. Let's complain to our schools about their homework policies, especially if they humiliate our children for non-compliance. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2G3u7AR
