I like the show's pacing, sense of adventure and touches of light humour. The characters are lovable and well designed. That being said it's all but a nonstop sausage fest.The two female characters (are the turnips gendered?) occasionally get a side plot but mostly it's the Captain, Kwazi and Peso all up in trouble's grill.My girl is 3 and a half. At the moment (and for the first time) she's racked with moments of unconfidence. All through her young life she's been brave to make my heart ache with both fear and pride. I never thought I'd be one of those parents but why can't such a watchable program make its way out of the 50s.My wife and I have been seeking every chance to encourage her.
