Our daughter is about 10 months old, and recently we took her to kayaking with us on calm waters. We are using Coast Guard approved infant life jacket(the kind which never allows the child to go face down, and is used for infants).Recently, after coming out of a spot in California, a mother of two gave us a piece of her mind, implying CPA should take away our child.Now I am worried. Is it endangerment or something? In Europe we have seen toddlers and infants on canoes etc., Of course no white water rafting, but my wife has lived for quite some time in Northern Europe, and for her even winter kayaking with kids is very common.But California, calm lake, no wind, and a proper coast guard life jacket, people seem to lose their shit.Can CPS take our daughter away due to this?
