We don't get out much. we have twin 14 month olds and our oldest who turns 4 this wknd I fear is suffering the consequences for it. My husband wants to get out much more frequently than I care to. It's a lot of work for the 2 of us and you never know how it's going to go. they all go to my mother in law's daycare, there are a total of 10 kids there, and they are doing a preschool program with the 3/4 year olds 3 days a week. I fear he may be getting away with more than he should be there since grandma favors him.Yesterday I decided I would start taking long lunches a couple of times a month to get him involved in a weekly preschool library program at our local library. His behavior surprised me. He would not sit still, he was up and down, he was touching buttons on the thermostat on the wall, he was interrupting the woman running the program when she was speaking to the group, she left the room at one point to start a puppet show and he decided to get up and instruct the class with random nonsense. I felt myself correcting him through the entire thing and I swore to my husband I would never take him again...when in reality I should probably keep taking him so he figures out how to behave with other people outside his immediate groups, otherwise kindergarten is going to come as a shock to him. What kinds of one on one things outside of the home do you do with your 4 year old? He's too young for organized sports as far as I can tell, based on program requirements. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2m8VG47
