Last night my 2.5 year old gingerly held my iPhone, positioned her fingers just right, and took over 130 pictures. She had a BLAST. Her aim was good, she was gentle with the phone, and when we moved on to something else, there was no fuss (I know that's a fluke). We have an iPhone 5s that has no data plan, and he wifi chip/card/whatever doesn't work, so there is no internet access at all, and of course no phone plan. I've always thought about getting her an ipod/iPhone full of music she loves and showing her how to listen whenever she wants, and now she's interested in the camera. My question is this: A. Have you given a child this young a phone that has incredibly limited accessibility? B. If so, how did you set it up to limit access to only what you wanted them to see/get to? (I feel I have a leg up here with the no wifi/internet access) C. What case did you use to keep the phone safe? D. Finally, what (if any) drawbacks did you discover down the road?Yes, we're going to limit screen time. No, we're not going to let the kid have the phone whenever she wants. We're the parents, we're in charge. She's getting to be quite independent, and crazy smart. Overall I think she can handle it, I'm just curious about personal experiences in this area. Thanks! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2l1SmrR
