I know some will despise me for this. This is for expecting couples who only hear horror stories. But our two month old has been nothing but awesome since we brought her home. I dreaded the sleepless nights, the constant screaming that could've happened but it just hasn't happened. The labour was a long drawn out, emotional roller coaster ending in an emergency c section. But my SO has recovered like a champion. My beautiful daughter has been nothing but perfect. She latched immediately. No problems feeding. She is now awake during the day but sleeps all night. Only to be woken up to feed. She loves bath time. She is now smiling and cooing. She does well in long car rides. She poops like a lumberjack who eats too many carrots.Today I thought I'd face the moment where it went to hell. Her first vaccinations. My SO couldn't be in the room. She was in tears before we arrived for our appointment. I held my daughter in my arms and she screamed the most horrible scream she's ever had. It broke my heart. But ten minutes later she was fed and sleeping. She's been awesome all night and is now down for the night. Although she did get extra cuddles this evening. Also side note. If you think vaccines cause autism. You're retarded.I just wanted to share how it's been. I'm not trying to brag or make anyone feel like they aren't doing something right. We aren't perfect parents. Never will be. We've probably already made countless mistakes. But this is awesome. I love being a dad. I couldn't be more proud of my family. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/29wz1GM
