I don't want my 3yo staying with MIL, pool isn't fenced off

My daughters are 7 and 3. Every summer since she was 3 my 7yo has spent a couple of weeks at my MIL's house. MIL lives 5 hours away. The house has an ungated pool. This year it's expected that my 3 yo will also want to stay with grandma. I don't want her to stay because I'm worried about her drowning. I'm worried the two kids will go outside without MIL supervision or that she may accidentally fall in and drown if they happen to be running around too close to the pool. Just a million terrifying scenarios running through my head. I think my MIL kind of took offense when I mentioned my fear of the little one drowning because she says she would never let them out without her supervision. I believe her, I just don't 100% trust my kids around a pool. My 7 yo swims well now and it was never really an issue when it was just her with her grandma because they've always been attached at the hip and I feel like watching one well-behaved child is a lot easier than 2 who may cause mischief together. I don't know what to do. I brought up getting them a pool fence to my husband and he seemed really not for it. I don't know what to do or say. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2ajRIPb
