My youngest boys share a room. For the last couple of hours, they were "cleaning" between long sessions of playing with the items they were supposedly putting away. The room kept looking different, but only slightly less untidy. This is usual for them on a lazy weekend and it's good bonding activity, so I let it slide. Today I had an epiphany."Each of you pick up 30 things and put them away where they go."This turned into:A raceCompetitionActual cleaning of the room!After they both got their 30 items put away, they called me. I gave them the requirement of a further 10 items each plus 5 pieces of trash. Their room looks almost as good as if their mother had straightened up.
