Can anyone recommend a good pool alarm? And do you think this is crossing the line with my in-laws?

I am tired of feeling nervous as fuck when we are at my in-laws' house with our three kids (infant, 3 yo, 6 yo) and their super-dangerous, unprotected pool. This weekend, I'd like to present them with several options for pool alarms that are unobtrusive, easy to use, and will give me peace of mind to allow my children to stay with their grandparents overnight. To clarify, we will pay for and complete any required installation.I've been researching pool alarms, but I'm a bit overwhelmed at this point and I was hoping some of my fellow reddit parents would have a recommendation for me. They have a fairly large (not sure exact size) in-ground pool that is somewhat oddly shaped. Thanks for any suggestions! Some background on the pool situation for anyone who wants to read and suggest a good way to bring this up with my in-laws (I am a bit worried about their reaction):They feel I am overreacting when I get nervous when the kids are playing in the yard unsupervised, or when I check the living room frequently to make sure one of the kids hasn't gone outside without us knowing. They have an in-ground pool with no pool fence or other security (legally they do not have to get one because the pool was constructed before any laws were put in place). They have six grandkids, three of which live next door to them and can easily get into the pool whenever they please. There are also quite a few children in their neighborhood. Before our first baby was born, my husband made them a sturdy, removable pool fence. It worked great, however, they didn't like the way it looked and so took it down permanently. Ugh. I've read too many tragic stories of children drowning lately and I'm tired of letting this give me anxiety when it's such an easy thing to fix. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2aePh3C
