When did you move your kid out of a harnessed seat?

My kid is 5 years old, 45 lbs and 48 inches tall. I'm almost certain that she is mature enough to use a seatbelt correctly, she already buckles herself into her harness seat and makes sure that it's tight enough, the chest clip is perfect, and freaks out if I put the car into gear before she's gotten all this done (she's always been the most careful kid).We just got a new car, and I was looking at getting a new seat for her. She would only ride in this car a couple days a week, probably just for school drop offs and pick ups and the occasional grocery trip (all under 5 miles away from home and driving through neighborhoods). I was thinking about just getting a high backed booster for her, rather than spending over twice as much on another harnessed seat. The recommendations for age/height/maturity/etc to go into a booster are all over the board. So I thought I'd come here and see what other parents are doing IRL. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2k5T31R
