Has attachment parenting made your marriage more stressful?

My wife and I were married when we were 24 yrs old. We traveled to many places, we used to have fun and an active sex life. We were childless for 8yrs after getting married but 4yrs ago we had our first one. And things started to change for the worse. My wife is a strong believer in the attachment parenting theory. Which basically translated into me sleeping in another bedroom and while she slept with our oldest. She turned from being my wife to a be a mom, and a mom only.I'm highly skeptic of attachment parenting And I told her in unambiguous terms that I'm in not in agreement with all of its tenents, especially the one that recommends that the kids sleep with the mom in the same bed.Well, my objections apparently have no bearing on her parenting approach. Now we have a 1 yr old boy, and she sleeps with both of them in the master bedroom while I continue to be relagated to the guests bedroom. This has also greatly affected our sex life.I should probably mention that she's been a stay home mom for the last year. And I feel like she's getting overwhelmed by the fact that she's with the kids all day.We have no shortage of fights. Some of which have gotten fairly bad in recent months. I see a trend and I happen to think the main culprit is attachment parenting. She cannot stand 10 seconds of one our kids crying. She cuddles them. She talks to them as if pleading to stop crying, and if they don't, she gets very stressed and lashes out at me.To me this situation is getting so bad that I've told her several times that we're on the brink of separating.TL/DR Wife's full and intransigent embracement of attachment parenting has a 12yr old marriage on the brink of separationAny thoughts? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2l52Q5K
