Due to my husband and I both being home for a few weeks we decided to potty train our 19.5mo daughter. She's given some signs she's ready like hiding to poop, communicating she is/has to go, pulling at her diaper, among other things. We read Oh Crap! and are trying that out... It starts with having your child naked and you place them on the potty every time they start to pee. Eventually the kid is supposed to get it and start trying to make it to the potty before peeing.Problem is, our daughter starts to pee standing up, then as soon as we move her to the potty she stops. Even if it's just a small tinkle so we know there has to be more. We've also tried the method of catching it with a cup. She also stops peeing for that! We'll sit her on the toilet (which she doesn't mind) for a bit, but she won't do anything and will only pee 10-15 mins later, standing up, on the floor.Do we need to wait? Is she not really ready? She's aware of what she's doing, it seems. I guess the good part is she's apparently able to "hold it" just fine whenever she wants to... via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3dJQpII
