My daughter (26 months) and I have a great relationship. She still breastfeeds (constantly!) and when I'm home, she always asks to cuddle and nurse in bed.I just got a new full time job last month, out by 8am and back by 6pm. When I get home from work, my daughter will have had dinner by then and I whisk her away from her nanny to cuddle in bed for a bit before I get her ready for bedtime. Our nanny lives with us and is absolutely wonderful.Recently, she's been asking for her nanny during cuddle time or bedtime. Like constantly looking for her and crying when I tell her that Nanny needs to rest at night. Sometimes when I'm particularly hurt, I'll tell her to stop nursing and go downstairs to Nanny's room and she'll actually try to do it until I stop her, which leads to a full blown crying fit. (I'm not exactly high EQ material and I'm not proud of the way I react.)This really stings. I've read so many articles on the matter, that it's healthy and normal, that it's a phase, that she'll always know me as her mom, etc. But somehow, I just can't get past that. Maybe I just feel guilty for not spending enough time with her. I have an opportunity to work from home and I'm actually considering quitting after only a month just so I can work from home. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2FixMMa
