How do I get my kids to stop talking when I'm talking?

My kids (3 and 5) constantly talk while me and my husband are talking. They do it to each other too so I know they think it's silly, but I've tried over and over again to explain it to then that they shouldnt talk whenever other people are talking. I finally got them to say "excuse me" before blurting into a conversation, but now it's just "excuse me, excuse me, mom, excuse me" repeatedly, no matter how many times I say "wait", "hold on", "one second" etc they dont stop until I have to raise my voice and tell then to go away or go sit down somewhere. Its exhausting because we have to save all of our important conversations for after they kids go to sleep but even casual conversations are no longer enjoyable because I'm stopping every two seconds to tell someone to relax, stop interrupting, or wait a minute. At what age did your kids finally break this annoying habit? What are some tips to get them to learn to be more patient? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2lnaPAy
