Our first son and heir pooped his pants on the third day of kindergarten because he refuses to use the bathroom at school. What do?

I received the first phone call around 12, where the principal told me that my son had indicated that he needed to use the bathroom but then refused, saying it was too loud and he had changed his mind. He had peed his pants the day before, so he was all psyched this morning because we promised him a toy he really wants if he uses the bathroom at school.I asked to speak with my son and then his teacher. They had taken him around to every bathroom in the school and nothing would do. He said he didn't want the toy anymore and he was scared. So, we don't know what to do. I tell them I'll be by my phone and close by.Around 2 I get the call from the nurse that he pooped his pants. I go and he's in the nurse's office. They put his name on the door of the bathroom there, a sweet and bright little single bathroom that he's been shown several times. He still refuses to go in just so that I can change his pants. I drive him home with shit in his pants. Everyone was super nice about it but a little freaked out by his level of stubbornness.Has anyone had similar experiences with bathroom anxiety? What did you do? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2NS0UMN
