Books to read on raising smart and sociable kids?

My son is 3-months-old now. He is starting to interact with us, even though in very simple ways, like responding to a smile or a "coo". He is starting to learn about his hands and what he can do with them. He's starting to subtly become this little person, with his own personality. This makes me happy, but also puts my responsibility in perspective. Everything I am going to do now and in the next 10 years will directly affect the type of person my son becomes.Which is why I'd like to read a book or two on parenting. Something that is proven to work, hopefully based on scientific research. Something with both general and concrete advice on raising a child. My focus right now is on two things:His intellect – I want to know when and how to develop his mental skills in the best way. I think some groundwork needs to be worked on already now.His social skills – I want him to be well integrated with the society. The ways in which we interact now are already important, I think.I would greatly appreciate your book recommendations, and your reasons for recommending. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2IvX5tN
