We have a 23-month-old son, and while most misbehavior we try to just redirect, we have 2 recurring issues we need to stop now- standing on the couch (he's had 2 bad falls from this already, it's a safety issue) and hitting (we don't want him to start doing it at daycare.) We've tried time-outs, but he's a bit young for them. He won't stay in one place- we don't want to put him in his crib because he's a good sleeper and we don't want negative associations with bed. Our place is small (European city centre) so we can't safely stick him in a room for time out. How do you do time-out with a child who's not very verbal yet? Or other suggestions for dealing with those behaviors? (We don't & won't spank.) via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/35VCbjn
