Childhood development right before my freaking eyes?!

My three year old has kind of always enjoyed art: that's something I very much enjoyed as a parent as soon as possible too. And today he drew me a flower, and it actually looks like a flower! I've read the parenting books and the brain books and all that jazz. And its neat to read a theory; but today, it was just incredible to see something completely brand new in my son's little brain. Life has been a challenge lately with all of the gross yucky parts of having a toddler- on top of life, of course. But today, I had a reminder of what made me fall in love with my son from day one. When you actually see their brains growing and learning, right in front of you, it's like you finally feel like you're apart of something BIG. Sorry if this was long and gushy— it really did make me feel all weepy. I just freaking love this kid.TL;DR: My three year old son drew a flower today– on purpose! :D I want to hear your "woah this kid is freaking smart!" stories too. :) via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/38aOZ7j
